Christian Kratz

Christian Kratz, M.D. has worked in the field of Pediatric Oncology since 1997. In addition to his clinical training in Düsseldorf and Freiburg, Germany he conducted leukemia research as postdoctoral fellow at the University of California San Francisco. From 2009-2012, he served as an Investigator at the NationalCancer Institute, Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (Director: J. Fraumeni Jr.). In 2012, he was appointed Chair and full professor of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Hannover Medical School. Throughout his career, his research has focused on genetic causes of childhood cancer. Prof. Kratz chairs the host genome working group of the European Society of Pediatric Oncology, the cancer predisposition registry (cancer-predisposition.org), the Fanconi anemia registry and the Hannover rare disease program.
